Alma Personnel have been instructed to recruit for and on behalf of their national based client at their Basingstoke office for an experienced Assistant Account.
Working as part of a team your duties will involve providing support for the general ledger, working with head of finance was well as having involvement with accounts payable, receivable and management accounts departments.
We are looking for somebody who has a significant proven track record in an accounting role and be AAT qualified or started either CIMA or ACCA or be qualified by good experience. Be competent working with Excel and have good general IT skills.
Must be able to work using own initiative with little supervision and excellent attention to detail.
Progression is available for the right candidate depending on the persons ability to progress.
- Report end of month figures timely and accurately
- Monthly payments
- Bank reconciliations
- Petty cash
- 3 month cash forecasting
- Reconcile GR IR account
- Reconcile balance sheet whilst monitoring trends
- Payroll and Pension
- VAT returns, EC sales
- Review overhead costs
- Any other duties as per line manager
