Internal Sales

Description

Our client, one of the UK’s largest steel stockholders, are looking for an experienced Internal Sales Executive to join their team at their West Midlands branch.

The duties include but are not limited to:

  • Dealing with enquiries and orders in a timely manner whilst maintaining accuracy
  • Upselling and offering alternative products
  • Maintaining customer relations and build a new customer database
  • Keeping track of any back orders or overdue orders
  • Providing quotes both verbally and by email, accurately, whilst keeping profit in mind
  • Liaising with accounts regarding payments, credit limits and cash variances
  • Liaising with other branches regarding stock and transport

You will be expected to work well as a team in order to ensure that all incoming calls are answered within 5 seconds. All enquiries must be responded to in the shortest time possible with the customer kept up to date throughout the process.

The ideal candidate will be confident with selling and upselling over the phone. Knowledge of steel products would be preferred but not essential.
