Operations Coordinator

Description

Alma Personnel have been instructed by their Walsall based logistics management client to recruit for an experienced Operations Coordinator on a full time permanent basis, Monday to Friday.
Duties:-
  • Obtain quotes for transportation costs and quote customers
  • If required arrange for extra transportation or additional runs
  • First point of contact into the business
  • Base your decision making on cost saving methods
  • Only use modes of transport that are cost effective and active
  • Update and maintain operations spreadsheet and database
  • Ensure driver paperwork, insurance etc are compliant
  • Receive completed paperwork, renewals etc from suppliers, contractors, update and file on database
You will need to be well organised with excellent time management skills as well as good communications skills.
Keen to assist with other areas of the business and offer solutions to best improve best business practice.
A good sense of humour, can do attitude and pleasant and friendly approach to internal and external stakeholders.
